Sten Molin
Over the past several years there has been an orchestrated online smear campaign across social media to destroy the memory and posthumous reputation of First Officer Sten Molin. Bots, trolls, and anonymous sock puppet accounts have bombarded sites including Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, Substack, Medium and YouTube with vile smears, slander, and lies about Sten, none of which is true. The lies have become more ridiculous, elaborate, and improbable over time. This ugly smear campaign also attempts to destroy the reputations of people who knew and loved Sten, including pilots who flew with him.

Please note none of these claims below are true. I have been accused recently of sending vile death threats, and other unhinged emails. Please know I did not send anyone any threats or write those emails. I don’t know who did, but given these threats use versions of my real name, I suspect they were sent, or more likely created, in an attempt to make me look bad.
Please also note there are Twitter/X accounts impersonating Sten and myself. These accounts are not mine by have been created by trolls smearing Sten’s reputation.
